Hello, Kia Ora ,Bula and Noa'ia! My pen name is Fila and I work as a Digital Support Officer in a little library in New Zealand. I have been writing for more than 17 years but I have never published any of my writings, ideas and stories on paper until I started working at a local library.  I fell in love with books and I am encouraged by parents who bring their children to the library so they can read. Reading is a life skill and it is a form of learning for many children today. I should say, a better form of learning since alot of children consume online content on youtube, tik tok and facebook these days. I believe books are better for young minds so they can engage imagination and creativity.  It is a perfect learning tool and reading is a life skill that will serve children, way into adulthood. 

I was inspired to write my first book for my daughter. My stories reflect the values I would like to teach her and my ideals about love, courage and relationships. While my daughter does not live in New Zealand anymore, I am determined to see her in California. I am grateful for the people on my team and the love and support I received since my books have been published on Amazon.
